Step 1
Use 4mm Allen key to remove four screws that mounts the lock to the frame of the bicycle.
Step 2
Gently unplug the connector of the lock.
Step 3
Flip the bicycle upside down with soft padding on the display.
Step 4
Take off the spiral cable wrap at the bottom part of the frame.
Step 5
Remove the cable tie clip on the bike frame. Make sure to store it safely for later use.
Step 6
Unplug the hub motor connector.
Step 7
Remove rubber caps on both sides of the rear wheel.
Step 8
Loosen the nuts on both sides of the rear wheel. You do not need to remove the nuts completely.
Step 9
Remove the rear wheel by detaching it from the frame.
Step 10
Unplug the rear light connector.
Step 11
Pull out the lock connector cable through the fender hole.
Step 12
Free the lock cable from two clips on the rear fender.
Step 13
Use a 4mm Allen key to remove four rear fender screws. If have a rear rack, also need to remove a screw using a 5mm Allen key that mounts the rear fender to the rear rack.
Step 14
Gently unplug the IOT module connector from the controller connector.
Step 15
Using #1 Phillips screwdriver to remove two screws that mount the IOT module to the bicycle frame and remove the old IOT module.
Step 16
Take out the old IOT module from the casing.
Step 17
Install the new IOT module.
Step 18
Install back the two screws that mount the IOT module to the bicycle frame.
Step 19
Plug in the IOT module connector with the controller connector.
Step 20
Use a 4mm Alle key to install back the four rear fender screws. If have a rear rack, also need to install a screw using a 5mm Allen key that mounts the rear fender to the rear rack.
Step 21
Install back the lock cable into the clips.
Step 22
Pull in the lock connector cable through the fender hole.
Step 23
Plug in the rear light connector.
Step 24
Re-attach the rear wheel. If the nut was removed, carefully assemble it back in the order shown.
Step 25
Tighten the nuts on both sides of the wheel.
Step 26
Install back rubber cups on both sides of the rear wheel.
Step 27
Carefully re-connect the cable. Use the arrow markings on the cables to align the connectors. Re-attach the cable tie and use it to clip the cables.
Step 28
Place back the spiral cable wrap at the bottom part of the frame.
Step 29
Flip back the bicycle to the normal upright position.
Step 30
Plug in the lock connector.
Step 31
Install back the four lock screws using a 4mm Allen key.
