Step 1
Flip the bicycle upside down with soft padding on the display.
Step 2
Take off the spiral cable wrap at the bottom part of the frame.
Step 3
Remove the cable tie on the bike frame.
Step 4
Unplug the hub motor connector.
Step 5
Remove rubber caps on both sides of the rear wheel.
Step 6
Loosen the nuts on both sides of the rear wheel. You do not need to remove the nuts completely.
Step 7
Remove the rear wheel by detaching it from the frame.
Step 8
Follow the trail of the rear light cable and unplug the connector.
Step 9
Free the rear light connector cable from the clips.
Step 10
Use an 8mm wrench to remove the nut that mounts the rear light to the fender.
Step 11
Carefully pull out the old rear light from the fender.
Step 12
Insert the new rear light cable through the hole.
Step 13
Use an 8mm wrench to tighten back the nut that mounts the new rear light to the fender.
Step 14
Insert back the cable into the clips.
Step 15
Plug in the connector of the new rear light.
Step 16
Re-attach the rear wheel. If the nut was removed, carefully assemble it back in the order shown.
Step 17
Tighten the nuts on both sides of the wheel by using an 18mm wrench.
Step 18
Install back rubber cups on both sides of the rear wheel.
Step 19
Carefully re-connect the cable. Use the arrow markings on the cables to align the connectors. Re-attach the cable tie and use it to clip the cables.
Step 20
Place back the spiral cable wrap at the bottom part of the frame.
Step 21
Flip back the bicycle to the normal upright position.
